Working with the renowned company Freed of London to design dance and ballet wear that is sustainable, yet fashionable and affordable, pushing the boundaries of dance. Taking inspiration from all forms of creativity; art, literature, poetry, dance, film and fashion.

The collection 'BEAT IT' was influenced by the 1950's, looking closely at the ballet outfits which consisted of high waisted leggings, straight necklines and full bodies. Exploring the movement and free flowing shapes in response to Beatnik dance and ballet. From Dior to Chanel, the 50's saw a new era for fashion in sharp shoulders, straight necklines, tiny waists, long line skirts, suit trousers and elegant gloves. Pieced together with head scarves and large floppy hats to create longline glamorous outfits suitable for all occasions. A collection inspired by Audrey Hepburn and her connection with the Beatnik group, the garments told their own personal stories through colour, pattern and movement with an added modern twist.

The colour palette, inspired by William Scott, an artist who worked throughout the 50's, consisted of light and mild tones, to deep and dark, making for an exciting and innovative new collection. The colours correlated perfectly with Beatnik culture, whilst being calm and inviting, offering a perfect mix for ballet and dance wear. The 'BEAT IT' collection is glamorous, elegant as well as practical.
